Chiropractic is the health care profession that focuses on the spine and nervous system. Chiropractic aids in the health of the body and its nervous system through treatment in a natural noninvasive way. The spine is made up of more than 30 bones called vertebra that are stacked on top of one another.
Due to the dynamic movement of the body and the stress put on it, it is very easy for the vertebrae to become displaced. This misalignment can pinch nerves branching directly off the spinal cord which pass through narrow channels between the vertebrae.
The nerves serve as the electrical information highway from the brain to their final destination. A compromised nerve suffers from nerve interference causing a breach in the system; this can effect the body and its functions both subtly and dramatically. By realigning the vertebra the pressure is taken off of the nerve allowing for improved functionality of the body.
